Singapore Aero Engine Services Ltd (SAESL) has awarded ASS with a short-term contract to perform Preventive Maintenance Services to 3 No. Vertical Engine Strip and Build Platforms located at their facility in Calshot Road Singapore.
ASS were the original installers of the equipment during 2017 and will provide an initial overhaul/PM service to the Platforms.
The ASS ZoneSafe Technical and Sales Team embarked on a road trip to Malaysia to showcase the ZoneSafe range of products to interested clients. The roadshow was initiated from response to the recent OS+HA exhibition in Singapore.
The team visited clients including Exxon Mobil, Nestle and Pearl Flex. The trip was hectic and included a drive from Singapore to Terengganu at the North Eastern tip of Malaysia.
The trip has resulted in positive interest from the clients to implement ZoneSafe at their facilities. Pearl Flex are a training provider who would like to include the promotion of ZoneSafe in to their curriculum.
ASS have created an innovative ‘ZoneSafe wall’ at their head office in Kaki Bukit to provide a location for product discussion with potential clients in a relaxed environment. The wall features equipment, videos, and data posters, showing all of the latest ZoneSafe products.

Automation Support Services Pte Ltd have been awarded a substantial contract to provide various automated solutions to Galfar Engineering and Contracting S.A.O.G. Galfar, who are one of the largest companies in the Sultanate of Oman, are providing the turnkey project/solution to Oman Air for a new In-Flight Catering Centre located at the recently completed airport in Muscat.
ASS have been contracted to install an extensive Bin Handling Conveyor System, complete with PLC and SCADA Controls, install Pallet Handling Conveyors, complete with PLC Controls, and an extensive Ethernet Network Infrastructure complete with wireless capability.
ASS will be providing a complex Warehouse Management System utlilising their proven ‘All- In-One Logistics Solution’ ALS. The overall system includes for the server equipment and client hardware, together with hand held equipment.
ASS were selected for the project based on their extensive experience installing and maintaining automated equipment in the In-Flight Catering Industry.
L3 MacDonald Humfrey Ltd have engaged Automation Support Services Pte Ltd to provide support for their Automated Tray Return Systems (ATRSs) located at Changi Airport Terminal 4 Singapore. ASS will provide L3 MHA with Project Management, PLC Engineering and Technical support whilst they introduce their Security Efficiency Management System (SEMS) to the existing systems.
Automation Support Systems will be showcasing the ZoneSafe range of RFID safety products at OS+H Asia 2018 (Occupational Safety + Health Exhibition for Asia 2018) being held at the Suntec Exhibition Centre Singapore between 29-31 August 2018. Rolls-Royce have awarded Automation Support Services with a contract to provide Preventive Maintenance and Call-Out Support Services for the Engine Assembly Flow Lines at the Seletar facility Singapore. ASS will perform PM checks and provide support cover on a 365 day x 24 hour basis.
SATS Food Industries IT Department has awarded Automation Support Services a project to provide additional IT security services to the existing automated systems at the SICC2 facility in Singapore. The project is classified as a “Password Protection Policy” and involves installing new hardware and software to interface to legacy Windows based systems.
SATS Food Industries has awarded Automation Support Services a project to modify the layout and control systems associated with the Warewash Material Handling System at the SICC2 facility in Singapore. To accommodate additional Washing Machines, the existing equipment has to be removed or modified accordingly.
Further to a competitive tender exercise, SATS Food Industries have awarded ASS the Preventive Maintenance and Support Contract for their Automated Systems located at the SICC2 facility, Changi Airport, Singapore for a 24 Month period.
ASS Pte Ltd have been supporting SATS at this site since 2005. The new contract includes for the support of the Cart Transport Management System (CTMS), the Cart Transport System (CTS), the Buffer Management System (BMS) and the Material Handling System (MHS).
The full scope of work includes for comprehensive Preventive Maintenance, 365 day x 24 hr support both locally in Singapore and from the UK, 3rd party support for the Stratus ft Servers, Ethernet Networks, Modicon PLCs, RFID Tag Reading System and Anti Virus updates.
SATS Aero Laundry have awarded ASS Pte Ltd with a contract to upgrade their Overhead Soiled Laundry Storage and Delivery System at their premises in Loyang, Singapore.
The existing Overhead Conveyor System has been in service since 2004. Many of the components are obsolete and require upgrading.
The project includes for Reverse Engineering, Design, PLC Software, SCADA Software, Devices, Installation, Commissioning, Training and Warranty.

The project includes for the Design, PLC Software, Devices, Installation, Commissioning, Training and Warranty.

ASS were selected as a vendor to attend the Singapore Ministry of Manpower’s seminar ‘Programme-Based Engagement (ProBE) Plus Forum 2017’ held at the Singapore Expo on 19 April 2017.
The seminar is the Ministry’s annual get together to highlight past and current safety issues, procedures and strategies. The seminar was officially opened by Mr Sam Tan (Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office and Ministry of Manpower).
One of the key areas addressed at the seminar was safety associated with incidents involving industrial vehicles and personnel. The data provided by the MOM showed that 18% of all fatal workplace injuries for 2016 involved incidents between moving objects/industrial vehicles and personnel.
ASS displayed and demonstrated the ZoneSafe range of products with particular emphasis on ZoneSafe Compact and ZoneSafe TUF Tag systems and solutions. The products were well received by various government agencies and a broad range of industry visitors. Mr Tan used the opportunity to familiarise himself with the ZoneSafe range of products, and was provided an in depth demonstration of ZoneSafe Compact.
