Further to deploying ZoneSafe Vehicle to Vehicle (V2V) and Vehicle to Pedestrian (V2P) Systems, DMS have decided to implement a further 3 No. Units at their facility in the Philippines.
The ZoneSafe V2V Systems will provide safety between Fork Lift Trucks as they move around the DMS facility.
The ZoneSafe V2P Systems will help to protect workers from collisions with the Fork Lift Trucks.
When the vehicles are within the specific range set-up around the vehicles, or a pedestrian/worker is in close contact with the vehicles, the drivers/operators will receive an audible and visual alarm via the ZoneSafe Control Units.
Further to deploying ZoneSafe Vehicle to Pedestrian (V2P) Systems, Sankyu have decided to expand the safety of workers at their Singapore facility by issuing ZoneSafe Vibra TAGS to personnel.
The ZoneSafe V2P Systems have proven to be a good safety feature for the facility, and have proven to reduce the risk of collisions between the active Fork Lift Trucks and the personnel/workers.
Sankyu have also invested in additional TAG Charging Units to accommodate the additional TAGS.
Further to carrying out a successful trial for 4 No. ZoneSafe Vehicle to Vehicle (V2V) Systems, Shawcor have decided to implement a further 26 No. Units at their facility in Batam Indonesia.
The ZoneSafe V2V Systems will provide safety between various industrial and commercial vehicles utilised at the facility. These include Lorries, Pick-Up Trucks, Fork Lift Trucks and Reach Stackers.
When the vehicles are within the specific range set-up around the vehicles, the drivers/operators will receive an audible and visual alarm via the ZoneSafe Control Units.
The ZoneSafe Systems will help to ensure that there are no collisions between any active vehicles on the 80 Hectare site.
SATS Aero Laundry Pte Ltd (SAL) have awarded ASS with a project to provide a UPS Back-Up System for the Schneider PLC System associated with the Soiled Bag Overhead Transport Conveyor System.
ASS will install and commission various Schneider products at 5 No. locations within the system architecture to accommodate the project requirements.
ASS upgraded the original Control System during 2019.
SATS Food Services Pte Ltd have awarded ASS with various projects to upgrade and modify some of the existing automated systems at both the SICC1 and SICC2 facilities in Singapore. The projects include, upgrading the Central Freezer Store Pallet Conveyor System, and modifying the Bin Loop Transport Conveyor System at SICC1, together with modifying the Overhead Cart Transport System (CTS) at the SICC2 facility.
ASS have been supporting SATS for in excess of 18 Years at the sites.
SAESL have awarded ASS with a 12 Month contract to provide comprehensive Preventive Maintenance Services for the 3 No. Engine Strip and Build Platforms located at their Calshot Road, Singapore facility.
ASS has been performing the PM Services since the Systems went live. SAESL has also engaged ASS to perform additional tasks associated with system improvements.
ASS Pte Ltd are pleased to announce that they have successfully listed ZoneSafe Systems as a Pre-Approved@SMEsGoDigital approved product. The listing allows Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Singapore to apply for up to 70% in grants via Productivity Solutions Grants (PSG).
Pre-Approved@SMEsGoDigital is owned and managed by the Singapore INFOCOMM MEDIA DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY (IMDA).
During the product approval process, ASS Pte Ltd successfully registered for the following licences with the IMDA:
- Telecommunications Dealer’s (Class) Licence Ref. DA109062
- Equipment License for the ZoneSafe Control Unit Ref. N0428-23
- Equipment License for the ZoneSafe V2P Antenna Unit Ref. N0431-23
- Equipment License for the ZoneSafe V2V Antenna Unit Ref. N0447-23
As of 03 March 2023, the ZoneSafe Systems and Solutions are fully recognised as a technical solution by the Singapore IMDA.

A big shout out to the Singapore Workplace Safety and Health Council (WSHC), the Singapore Work Health Safety Institute (WSHI) and the IMDA, together with the ASS Pte Ltd Team for their efforts to get this over the line, and attempting to make Singapore a healthier and safer working environment.

Due to the recent Global Covid-19 situation, Singapore Airport Terminal Services (SATS) have engaged ASS Pte Ltd to perform some major modifications to some of the automated systems at the SICC1 facility. The Bin Loop System, The GN Tray Handling System and the Pallet Conveyor Systems at the SICC1 facility Singapore have been extensively modified to suit a revised production schedule. This has involved both Mechanical and Control Systems work, performed by the local ASS technical team, together with partners.
ASS Pte Ltd are pleased to announce that they have registered as an approved vendor to SATS Food Industries via the ARIBA Supplier Portal. The registration allows ASS to participate in project for SATS and to submit invoices and supporting documents.
DSM Malaysia have extended their existing ZoneSafe Systems to incorporate a further 3 No. Fork Lift Trucks (FLTs) and additional Personnel Safety Tags. The FLTs will be fitted with both Vehicle to Pedestrian (V2P) and Vehicle to Vehicle (V2V) Systems that will help to protect collisions between FLTs and pedestrians, and also between active FLTs.
The DSM Technical Team will self-install the systems using the comprehensive installation and technical guides/data provided by the ASS Team in Singapore.
IKEA have invested in a ZoneSafe Safety System at their warehouse located in Tampines, Singapore. The safety department were concerned that Fork Lift Trucks (FLTs) were travelling to fast when approaching a goods ‘drop-off’ point located near to a doorway.
The Vehicle to Infrastructure (V2I) ZoneSafe System installed will ‘switch’ a Jungheinrich FLT into ‘creep’ mode when it enters the predetermined safety zone set up by the ZoneSafe System. Once the FLT is clear of the safety zone it will resume to normal operating speed.
ST Engineering Singapore are a company providing engineering services and solutions to a variety of clients. They work closely with the Singapore Armed Forces (MINDEF) to assist with engineering solutions for military vehicles.
ST Engineering have purchased an extended ZoneSafe Vehicle to Person (V2P) System with 2 No. Antennae, which will provide a greater proximity range around a larger vehicle.
ASS have previously provided systems to MINDEF via other suppliers. For confidentiality reasons, this equipment will be self-installed by the ST Engineering Team using the comprehensive Installation Guide/data provided by ASS.
Further to ASS Pte Ltd arranging a site visit to an existing client in the Philippines, Universal Leaf Philippines Incorporated have invested in a ZoneSafe Vehicle to Person (V2P) System to trial on a Fork Lift Truck at their facility.
The purchase includes for a complete V2P System, Personnel and Drivers Vibra Tags, and a Tag Charging Device/Enclosure.
The Universal Leaf Technical Team will self-install the System using the comprehensive Installation Guide/data provided by the ASS Team in Singapore.
Singapore Airport Terminal Services (SATS) have awarded Automation Support Services with a 12 Month contract to provide Preventive Maintenance and Call-Out Support Services for the Cart Transport Management System (CTMS), Buffer Management System (BMS), Cart Transport System (CTS) and the Materials Handling System (MHS) at the SICC2 facility Singapore. ASS will perform Quarterly PM checks and provide support cover on a 365day x 24 hour basis.
The contract includes for the mechanical components associated with the Cart
Transport System (CTS).
